“MAY I NEVER BE PERFECT”
Repressed emotions fracture the surface,
and from within the cracks, another self emerges.
《SHA:DOW | 영影》 is a sensory exhibition by NUYH,
where shadows and emotional fragments are woven
into patterns of projected light.
It is not just a space you look at —
but one you pass through,
and one that passes through you.
[SHA:DOW] 영影
Modern society wants the best of us.
In such a grayscale reality, identity and creativity are quietly erased.
《SHA:DOW | 영影》 tells the story of a shadow —
a fragmented self that breaks away from suppression,
a part of us buried deep within, now rising to the surface.
While the previous work 《H:AN | 한恨》 held emotion in restraint,
this exhibition captures the moment that restraint begins to crack and unravel.
A divided existence, suppressed instinct,
and traces of violent emotion.
"The shadow did not follow me. I was following it."
This exhibition is a space to experience the philosophy of NUYH.
Here, garments act as visual narratives,
while patterns of projected light trace the ruptures of the inner self.
As visitors move through the space,
they encounter the very moment where the internal and external collide —
where the repressed self demands to be seen.
NUYH is not about styling, but about structuring emotion into form.
With the belief that fashion is language,
《SHA:DOW | 영影》 becomes a sensory grammar of oppression, separation, and liberation —
spoken not through words, but through light, pattern, and embodied space.
